Welcome to Sunset Labradors Blog, we are Arlene and Gary Smith and we started Sunset Labradors December 19, 1997 with a chocolate lab we named Sunset’s Radiant Kelly. She was our foundation and has produced many wonderful puppies of all colors and sexes. Over the years we have kept and acquired a total of 14 labs. One of our labs; Amber passed away last summer. Amber is still with us; we had her cremated and has a spot in our dinning room. At present we have 5 retired labs and 1 mascot, Sunsets Forecast Rider. We would be lost with out Rider, he over sees all of our daily routines. Sunset’s Break of Dawn Magnum is our all star male. Magnum was a pup that we kept out of Sunset’s Opening Day Hawken and Kelly and he is OFA certified Excellent and has been an outstanding stud and has produced many, many litters of all 3 colors, black, yellow and chocolate. He has been more than what we had hoped for. We have 2 of his daughters Sunset’s Image of Razz and Sunset’s Ebtide, they are both black and are both OFA certified Excellent and their mother is Sunset’s Razzles of Atwater  who has produced many beautiful litters and is now enjoying retirement and loving every day of it.
